church re-opening UPDATE
Further to the latest Government guidelines all our services and events have been cancelled
along with all weekly ministry activities, however we are in preparation
for our re-opening on SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER.
The Leadership Team at Hope want to ensure you that your safety and health is at the forefront of our minds and we are creating the best environment possible so you can feel at ease.
So to help you to prepare for the 6th September, below is a simple outline of essential changes.
If you require further details, don't hesitate to ring us and we will be happy to help you.
Sanitiser on entrance and at different points around the building.
All doors will be open for you so there are no touch points.
All areas will have clear signage for social distancing and one way systems.
All soft furnishings have been removed from the entrance area to increase social distancing space and limit touch points.
The toilets will be available with sanitizer on entrance - afterwards and on exit.
Our host team will be here to help you and guide you to your seats.
There will be no touch points in the main auditorium except for your own chair which will be 'one person use' only. All chairs will be changed for each Sunday Experience.
Everyone will be sat with their extended households in the main auditorium 2 meters apart from other households.
Masks are not a requirement at the moment but if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask please do so.
The congregation are NOT permitted to sing at present because of possible droplet projection but this doesn't stop us from clapping, standing, raising hands or entering into worship.
We do ask that people do not gather together before or after a service and to keep social distancing at all times.
With social distancing we won't be praying by laying on hands but we are preparing a PRAYER SPACE in the Coffee Shop for those who need to talk and receive prayer after the service, with social distancing measures in place.
COVID HYGIENE TEAM:
Before and after each experience we have a Covid Hygiene Team who will do a thorough clean of all used areas.
All surfaces and potential touch points
All chairs changed
All toilet areas
All prayer space touchpoints and seating
We are aware that some of you do not feel comfortable with returning at present because of shielding and concerns for your personal health and I want to reassure you that we completely understand and that you will not be overlooked. We are family, and if you can't come to us then we will come to you!
We will be keeping an Online presence for you and for those who have tuned in from around Newtown and the UK.
It will be approximately 30 minutes long with all the key aspects of our live Sunday Experience, so you don't miss out.
Please note the following until then:
If you are in need or have prayer requests, please email or phone the church (Links below). We have a Prayer Team for urgent needs and a Pastoral team ready to serve.
For all our Hopers, our Life Group Pastors will be available , and we will ensure that everyone, especially the elderly in the Church are supported.
EVERY SUNDAY, our Sunday Experience will be available from the website at our usual time of 10.30am which will include worship, prayer, preaching and an update from the Senior Leader. So, although we can’t be in the same building we can still be in the same meeting!
These times demand that we do things differently so if you can, we encourage you to give to the Church differently. Please click here to set up a Standing Order with your bank, either weekly or monthly. This will help enormously and enable us to consider new ways of supporting people in our community who may be in need.
We believe that the present difficulties will be an opportunity for Hope Church to show that
“Hope” is not just the name of our Church but the HEART of our Church.
Keep praying for everyone everywhere!
