"Going on the Alpha Course and letting God into my life was an amazing experience and has totally changed my life."

Karen James

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’ with the option of a weekend away. We meet for supper and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups.

Alpha runs on Thursday evenings for 11 weeks. You don’t have to come to the whole course – just come to the first night and see what you think.

Who's it for?

Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

How does it work?

Alpha is sixteen sessions with the some topics listed below. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
